Cycling through the Côtes d'Armor
On holiday, we like to take the time to explore the region we've carefully selected. If you're here, it's because you've chosen Brittany, and more specifically the Emerald Coast (or you will soon!) for your cycling holiday.

The Vélomaritime® between Cap Fréhel and Cap d'Erquy

The cycle route linked to EuroVelo 4 has no fewer than 1500 km of cycle lanes from the English Channel to the North Sea. It's the section in the heart of the Cap Fréhel - Cap d'Erquy Grand Site de France that we recommend you try!
It offers a wide variety of landscapes with breathtaking panoramas (hopefully you'll have enough left to drive around). Allow around 1? hours to link the 2 Capes. You'll pass through Sables-d'Or-les-Pins and its marshes, skirt the Breton coast and discover its pink sandstone cliffs. The highlight of the trip is Cap Fréhel lighthouse, a listed historic monument! You can even visit the site and climb to the top, where it shines out over the Bay of Saint-Brieuc.
If you still have legs after all that, there's still a historic fortress to reach on foot or by bike: the Fort-la-Latte Castle facing Cap Fréhel.

The Scaventure linking Saint-Cast to Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer

Leaving from Saint-Cast, Saint-Cast Aventure has mapped out a 33km cycle loop for a cycle ride lasting around 4 hours. Cycling along the steep coastline, you'll pass through la pointe du Bay for its unique view of the rows of bouchots and, in the background, the Ile des Ebihens. Then head to the 4 Vaulx beach and take a break on the picnic area facing the sea. Then leave this pretty cove to cross the Arguenon, and in a few pedal strokes you'll reach the Medieval castle of Le Guildo and its 5 hectares of freely accessible grounds. Take a final break before heading off towards the pointe de Saint-Jacut, where the landscape alternates between fine sandy beaches and viewpoints over the bays surrounding the peninsula. Return via Matignon, A small market town between the sea and the countryside. Enjoy the walk!
